Why Lightpond?

Everybody’s got an agenda.  Given this fact, all that’s left is to triangulate the truth.

So here’s my agenda: the more information the better.

How could it be anything else, Goofsmom?

This painting, reminds me of the book City of Darkness, City of Light by Marge Piercy. I pulled it off a shelf in the library because the painting was incorporated into the book cover. It really is a great read, based on the women who were the major force for the French Revolution. Every since the beginning of PUMA, I have had the vision of this painting in mind, when I think of the work PUMA women are doing.

Wow, thanks for telling me about the book, deadgirl. I had no idea – what a great topic – the women of the French Revolution. Marge Piercy I know of, but not this book. Definitely it’s going on my list.

Yeah, pumapac women are the ones leading the fight, huh?

thanks for all your great comments btw, both at pumapac & at PB’s blog. (((deadgirl)))

Marge Piercy’s poetry is also awesome. Try “The Moon is Always Female” (book).

      Nice launch, Lightpond!
